Adrián began playing the violin at an early age, taking lessons from his father, Prof. Vazka, as well as Yuriko Kuronuma and Stanislav Kawalla, quickly winning numerous competitions in his native Mexico, including the Violin National Competition organized by the Universidad Autónoma de México. He went on to study with Zvi Zeitlin at the Eastman School of Music, where he was awarded a Performer's Certificate for his exceptional musicality, and earned his Master's degree from the Pinchas Zukerman Performance Program at the Manhattan School of Music.
Mr. Justus has performed at world-famous venues including Carnegie Hall in New York, Suntory and Kyoi Halls in Tokyo, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Henry Crown Hall in Jerusalem, the Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam, the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle, the Palacio de Bellas Artes and Nezahualcóyotl Hall in Mexico City, and London's Wigmore Hall and Barbican Centre.
As a virtuoso soloist, he has performed with numerous orchestras, among them the Philharmonia Orchestra in London, the Tokyo Philharmonic, the Kyoto and Fujisawa Symphony Orchestras in Japan, the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Mexico National Symphony, OFUNAM, the Mexico City Chamber Orchestra, the State of Mexico, Xalapa, and Jalisco Symphony Orchestras, the Prague Festival Orchestra, and the Israel Chamber Orchestra.
His recordings include the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the London Philharmonia Orchestra, and concerti by Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Mozart (No. 5), and Manuel Enríquez, alongside Paganini's 24 Caprices and several chamber music recordings featuring works by Mexican composers. Mr. Justus has also studied composition, writing several works for his instrument, including original cadenzas for the Mozart concerti.
